I can pretty much say that I'm a Calgarian now. Did you know that the four largest cities in Alberta (based on people living there) are Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Lethbridge? Now that I have moved to Calgary, I have lived in all four of the 'major cities'.
I was at my school nearly all day. I have met my students, although I *officially* start on Wednesday. One thing that will make me feel comfortable and less homesick is that we are starting a familiar novel. The title of the novel is a secret, but the Grade Five's might remember a novel about some gosslings and a farm. That's all I can say. I feel good about starting because I already have a lot done. I was even able to write an article for the school newsletter. The only bad part, is that the staffroom here does not have an X-box or a hot tub.
It was so great to see everyone's comments (and even a few e-mails) wishing me luck, and giving me last-minute advice. The incredible thing about being part of 'the school community' is that everyone is so supportive and encouraging. Until next time, I'm Mr. Robertson...
