I HAVE A JOB!!!!!!!!! *woot* *woot* *woot*

GRADE SIX. NEW SCHOOL. RIGHT IN CALGARY. And the strangest part... I start Friday because it's a year-round school. Who knew when my students last year wrote their opinions on modified calendars, that I would end up in one.

Can't wait, to write how it all goes. :)

June 30th

It's about 8:00am on June 30th and I'm sitting on my computer in Room 7 at the school, for probably the very last time.

Ms. M and I have a plan to do announcements at 9:00 thinking we are super funny. I'm trying to find a good "Riddle for the Day."

I cannot believe summer is here, and my year at LBE is over. What a great year!! What a great bunch!! Now I have very high expectations for schools. I only have a few boxes to move to my car, so I don't even really have that much work to do. I just get to help out the other teachers, a bit. Hopefully, I don't get a rude awakening with a big "job list". =P

L, great to see you say hi. If anyone else signs up and posts comments make sure you only use your first name and don't give out too much info out about yourself. The internet is a big big place. I'm considering putting an msn contact up... but we'll see. This summer I'll be away from msn anyways.

Have an AMAZING SUMMER!!! It's hard to believe we did it!!!

Mr. Robertson's Blog is "reborn"

Hello,

This is a weblog or 'blog for Mr. Robertson. I'm a teacher in Calgary. I created this blog when I was a student teacher in Edmonton, when a class was all creating their own blogs for a class project.

This blog is great because it allows people to keep in touch with me, and what I'm doing even when I move schools.

It has been a year since I have written in here. Hopefully, I'm able to keep up with writing better than I had before. Some current countdowns:

8 Days - Fieldtrip to Drumheller
26 Days - Mr. Robertson Flies to Montreal for a Month
12 School Days - Summer Begins

Thanks for stopping by!! =)

M. Robertson en Montreal

Hey everyone...

Just a quick post from sunny Montreal on this beautiful Jeudi afternoon.

Montreal is such an awesome little city. Who knew we had such a great place to visit right here in Canada. I will definitely be back.

I always thought I was such a good computer user but international keyboards and computer programs are very hard to use.

I hope everyone has been having an awesome summer so far, and I look forward to posting when I get back to Alberta to blog more about my trip. Even now, half way through my trip I have a tonne to blog about...

a bien tot... MR. R.

...My First Last Day...

Today is my last day of school. It is the first time I've had an "official last day" as a paid teacher. Technically, it's appeals day but there are only 25min. left to appeal and so far so good. *touch wood*

One of the nicest things that happened today, was I received a gift from the school for coming to help out. When the staff presented me with the mug they went around in a circle and said their "appreciations and commendations" (nice things). The staff I was with ROCKED MY WORLD and now I will have a great note to leave on.

As sad as I am to leave everyone, I'm very excited for summer to start. It's rained so much here that once it turns nice I will have a Hay Day. Two trips, lots of sun, Stampede, family, friends. What could be better? Hopefully, I'm able to line up a job for September, too. If you hear of an opening let me know. ;) Until next time, I'm Mr. Robertson.

...Summer in T Minus...

I just sent an e-mail to all of my Grade 6's from Meyonohk. The way I got the addresses made me smile. It was a peace treaty. I laughed because this was probably the most peaceful school (and class) I have ever been a part of.

School in Calgary is going very well. I am excited for summer, though. It sounds like I'm making two trips this summer. One is to Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. and the other might be to Montreal, Quebec. My grade four's are learning about Quebec so I'll be very "studied-up".

Other than that, life is good. I had a small accident with my car so that was a little crazy. I was okay but I did a lot of damage to my car. I'm very lucky my family had a vehicle I could borrow in the meantime. I haven't been able to make it up to Edmonton as much as I want so hopefully this summer I can get up tons. Calgary is awesome, I am missing a lot of things in Edmonton.
